Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Pueblo FC's Vern Wright started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Ari Willingham made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyd Winkler. Boyd Winkler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Boyd Winkler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Gayoso in the 16th minute of the match. A hard shot 19 in the game by Vern Wright from a close distance when the talented Rolando Noboa managed to make a qualified save. Peru's players were relieved. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyd Winkler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Boyd Winkler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 24th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Jackson Valle got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Boyd Winkler came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Boyd Winkler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boyd Winkler. Pueblo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Boyd Winkler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Ari Willingham in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyd Winkler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boyd Winkler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 78th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. In the 83rd minute, Gerry Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pueblo FC's Gerry Franco got a free kick in the 84th minute. Pueblo FC's attentive Greg Shipley managed to snatch the ball when Eliseo Alcocer made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Boyd Winkler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Rafael Gallo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Rafael Gallo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Boyd Winkler, passed just outside the right post.
