The audience thought a goal was coming when Pietro Echavarri got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through Plaza Babys CF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Macías. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Abelardo Macías tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aparicio Ladra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Yasin Saleh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yasin Saleh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Yasin Saleh succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. In the 26th minute, Yasin Saleh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yasin Saleh got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Bernardino Aguilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Bernardino Aguilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Aparicio Ladra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-1. When Aparicio Ladra came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Plaza Babys CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aparicio Ladra couldn't finish the play. Abelardo Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. 75 minutes into the match, Plaza Babys CF's Bo Kristiansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Plaza Babys CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
