When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Juan Alberto Allende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Kong Jian Ling notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Barrabases de Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Sandoval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Juan Alberto Allende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Kong Jian Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Pankiewicz got free with Julio Vera in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kong Jian Ling came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Alberto Allende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Dani Zurita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dani Zurita came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Barrabases de Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rock Power to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes Barrabases de Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Rock Power. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Barrabases de Victoria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leszek Pankiewicz in the 81st minute. Kong Jian Ling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Kong Jian Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrabases de Victoria's Carlos Gustavo Bobadilla was substituted for Alberto Sandoval. Barrabases de Victoria made a substitution. Yong 曹操 replaced Kong Jian Ling. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yong 曹操 in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
