Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reino Helavuori having to make a save. Reino Helavuori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Untamo Salermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reino Helavuori was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Reino Helavuori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Söderqvist came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC PullaPojat's goalkeeper Reino Helavuori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reino Helavuori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 43rd minute, Edwin Söderqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Reino Helavuori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute of play. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reino Helavuori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After taking down the ball on FC PullaPojat's corner Jiang Xiao Yuan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reino Helavuori. That made the score 1-2 after 73 minutes of play. In the 80th minute Auno Kamppuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Untamo Salermo in the 82nd minute of play. When Untamo Salermo fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC PullaPojat's protests and gave Untamo Salermo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, FC PullaPojat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Untamo Salermo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reino Helavuori was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Luan Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reino Helavuori skillfully saved the ball. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 96 minutes into the match, Edwin Söderqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwin Söderqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
