Elstree Town's Gareth Child managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gareth Child dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Peter Robson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Robson. Peter Robson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elstree Town's Andrew Johnson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play forced Elstree Town's goalkeeper Peter Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Gareth Child made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Peter Robson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A hard shot 32 in the game by Gareth Child from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, Elstree Town's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Peter Robson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Robson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Robson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Elstree Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Bortzaioriz Sancha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keiran Grantham went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Elstree Town's Peter Robson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Elstree Town from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Elstree Town defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Robson. The Elstree Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Robson should have stopped the shot. Elstree Town's Mattias Allison was substituted for Tim Hochedez. After 69th play minutes Gareth Child shot 3-4, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Peter Robson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bortzaioriz Sancha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gareth Child in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
