Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Lucky Number Team's Armin Scacchi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Herbert Kapera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Lucky Number Team got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Porro. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Scacchi in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lucky Number Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 15th minute, Armin Scacchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucky Number Team's goalkeeper Herbert Kapera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alessandro Munno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Armin Scacchi hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Herbert Kapera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lucky Number Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Herbert Kapera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Herbert Kapera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herbert Kapera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Herbert Kapera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Herbert Kapera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Kapera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Kapera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herbert Kapera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. Herbert Kapera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Herbert Kapera made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play forced Lucky Number Team's goalkeeper Herbert Kapera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Orlandi in the 64th minute of play. With his leg Herbert Kapera managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucky Number Team's goalkeeper Herbert Kapera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Armin Pari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Attilio Orlandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Porro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herbert Kapera skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Lucky Number Team getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Attilio Orlandi hit a great ball. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
