Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter George in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rd minute Carter George shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute Canada were awarded a corner. Koby Wright went to the cornerflag to take it. Jax Williamson came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Sheriff's Damaso Xacintu. But to his dismay, Damaso Xacintu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Clayton Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheriff's supporters rose to their feet, but Clayton Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jax Williamson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yahia van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Dixon in the 18th minute of play. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Dixon in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Alfred John had to leave the field with a concussion. 21 minutes into the game, Damaso Xacintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheriff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canada the free kick. The supporters of Canada booed when Sheriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canada's Regan Jordan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yahia van der Saar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th minute, Sheriff's Clayton Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jax Williamson. Jax Williamson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Koby Wright scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yahia van der Saar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Canada's Jax Williamson got control of the ball when Clayton Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Canada's Luka Harris quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dragoş Bălace, made in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 46th minute Jan Dixon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clayton Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. Sheriff's attentive Dagan Pavlovic managed to snatch the ball when Regan Jordan made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Clayton Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Jax Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Xacintu in the 54th minute of play. If Jan Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sheriff's Akakios Trachanas was substituted for Dagan Pavlovic. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Gol in the 59th minute of the match. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. Damaso Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Damaso Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jax Williamson. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Edwards, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sheriff were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Canada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Akakios Trachanas took the corner. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Sancho Denner in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canada's Theo Burton. 87 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when Prince Anderson came free, but Yahia van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prince Anderson in the 87th minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jan Dixon came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Canada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Dixon couldn't finish the play. Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mccarthy in the 94th minute of play. Iraklis Karasavvidis kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Canada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sheriff.
