After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Aleksander Käller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Magne Ahlberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner ended in Macos Graciani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg did a great save. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zebastian Lindman came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Ahlberg having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zebastian Lindman in the 25th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Magne Ahlberg made a huge save. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Magne Ahlberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 35th minute, Zebastian Lindman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Magne Ahlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Kassa Kossakovskis put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kassa Kossakovskis to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Magne Ahlberg was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Stig-Åke Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 60 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st match minute, Guldsmedshyttan IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Käller to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Guldsmedshyttan IK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Magne Ahlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Ahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After 82 minutes, Alberto Tafalla made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Magne Ahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Guldsmedshyttan IK's Torbjörn Henriksson. In the 94thth minute of the game Måns Hägglund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Guldsmedshyttan IK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
