Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Djurgårdens IF defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yngve Fredriksson. The Djurgårdens IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yngve Fredriksson should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hieronim Posadzki in the 20 minute of the game. 24 minutes into the game, Karl-Åke Termander recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Karl-Åke Termander showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Zbigniew Nigbor made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Karl-Åke Termander immediately put the ball in play. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yngve Fredriksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Fredriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes Djurgårdens IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson managed to reach the ball for a save. 36 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Åke Termander. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Karl-Åke Termander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Djurgårdens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennet Forsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Åke Termander to strike the kick off in the second half. Zbigniew Nigbor charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbigniew Nigbor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbigniew Nigbor to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Botvidsson struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Djurgårdens IF. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Åke Termander in the 61st minute of play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Karl-Åke Termander took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The throw-in from Zbigniew Nigbor in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a rather tough play, Peru's Emmanuel Reyes got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Djurgårdens IF getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Kennet Forsman hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Kennet Forsman. In the 78th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Djurgårdens IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Julian Murillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yngve Fredriksson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 82 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hieronim Posadzki to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Hieronim Posadzki hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Marcus Botvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 94th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Yngve Fredriksson made a huge save. The Djurgårdens IF support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
