Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Termander in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Kyrk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Kyrk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute of the match. Kent Kyrk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Termander came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hårdmen Slak booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Hårdmen Slak got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Norberg. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Vidar Alegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Cambeiro lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Martin Zachrisson:s penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Termander in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidar Alegren got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Felipe Ros fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Felipe Ros a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Wada Pedson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Wada Pedson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Smedfeldt in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Hårdmen Slak's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Kent Kyrk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Smedfeldt came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hårdmen Slak had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
