Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Heimo Heliskoski kicked off to start the match. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when AC Sarsaparilla's Heimo Heliskoski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heikki Sulonen. Taavi Hulkkonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, AC Sarsaparilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Laakkonen to maneuver through the defense. AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimo Heliskoski, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced AC Sarsaparilla's goalkeeper Taavi Hulkkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Taavi Hulkkonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Rafael Laatikainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Heimo Heliskoski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taavi Hulkkonen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play forced AC Sarsaparilla's goalkeeper Taavi Hulkkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AC Sarsaparilla getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Edvard Laakkonen hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Taavi Hulkkonen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Heimo Heliskoski made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esa Joenväärä in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heikki Sulonen in the 62nd minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Sarsaparilla's Esa Joenväärä. But to his dismay, Esa Joenväärä quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AC Sarsaparilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reko Brinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Heimo Heliskoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esa Joenväärä in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Sarsaparilla made a substitution. César Talavera replaced Reko Brinck. AC Sarsaparilla's Uoti Grönholm was substituted for Joonatan Huttunen. After 73 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esa Joenväärä who took care of the corner kick. Heimo Heliskoski was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After having played for 79 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heikki Sulonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Heikki Sulonen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heimo Heliskoski in the 88th minute of play. Juha-Pekka Glad hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The AC Sarsaparilla support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
