When Musa Bardakçı came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Freestylers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Musa Bardakçı couldn't finish the play. Yuan Lei Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Evarado in the 19th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when German Evarado came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Björn Lachenicht who took care of the corner kick. Mai Qian Guang was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Freestylers's Yuan Lei Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Freestylers from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the game, USA's Monty Rogers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuan Lei Jing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Freestylers's Leo Pietro was substituted for Matthias Büssinger. Yuan Lei Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 81st minute of the match. The corner ended in Khalid Parry almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Freestylers's Yuan Lei Jing did a great save. 93 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Arendt came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Freestylers throughout the match.
