In the 21stth minute of the game Xu Yi Jian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Robert Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Yi Jian in the 25th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Mattias Qvalfeldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Mattias Qvalfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Mattias Qvalfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Marko Vennerberg made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Holer Nolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 33rd minute of the match. Holer Nolan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Hjalmar Jakobsson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mattias Qvalfeldt went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Yi Jian in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Jorge Sainz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Gonzez the free kick. After 44 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. In the 46th minute, Jorge Sainz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee gave The Gonzez a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robert Carlsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Qvalfeldt in the 55th minute of play. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when The Gonzez's Xu Yi Jian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 60th minute, Jaime Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mattias Qvalfeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the game, Xu Yi Jian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Holer Nolan. Holer Nolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 85th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xu Yi Jian in the 87th minute. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holer Nolan having to interfere. Mattias Qvalfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Xu Yi Jian tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Xu Yi Jian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 1-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Gonzez had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
