Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Pan Jian Yong started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Steve De Wilde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Pan Jian Yong capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pan Jian Yong really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Pan Jian Yong struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lions United. In the 30th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve De Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Pan Jian Yong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Pan Jian Yong got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute of the match Lions United got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gao Cheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gao Cheng Yun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Lions United fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Lions United's Pan Jian Yong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 70 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gaona. 72 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Pan Jian Yong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lions United's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve De Wilde came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo Fontoura charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Fontoura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
