The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Kevin Carballal a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sofiane Fleurant in the 13th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Steven Grenard to make any attempt to save it. 21 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steven Grenard. Lambres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Lambres's Steven Grenard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 24th minute of play. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the game, Cyril Toulalan threw the ball into play from the sideline. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steven Grenard was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
