When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Valter Mellin sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Valter Mellin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 22nd minute of play forced Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Claes Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Mellin in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Valter Mellin made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Valter Mellin might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valter Mellin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Mellin in the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Egon Ahlbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 minutes of play Venezuela's Alex Chicote was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Mellin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 45 minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Cheetah Team's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valter Mellin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

If Valter Mellin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Valter Mellin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valter Mellin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute of the match Cheetah Team got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Egon Ahlbom ran over to the corner to take the kick. Egon Ahlbom made a great header on Cheetah Team's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Dick Forssell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cheetah Team's Tom Holmstedt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomas Illescas in the 75 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Valter Mellin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Valter Mellin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Valter Mellin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cheetah Team were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Egon Ahlbom took the corner. Egon Ahlbom made a great header on Cheetah Team's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Forssell in the 90th minute of play. Egon Ahlbom made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alex Ahlrot immediately put the ball in play. Cheetah Team's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
