The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tue Parslet made a kick off. Gerhard Guldager hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kerteminde Boldklub getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tue Parslet hit a great ball. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roman Mehrtens came out and tried to block the shot, but Abraham Alguacil slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 69th minute. A collision led to Kerteminde Boldklub getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Mathias Neipper hit a great ball. Roman Mehrtens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Berganza sped through Kerteminde Boldklub's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roman Mehrtens. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Mehrtens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 86th minute of play forced Kerteminde Boldklub's goalkeeper Roman Mehrtens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Mehrtens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
