Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half 蚂蚁在路上 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fatih Özbay made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonso Suloaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonso Suloaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of play forced 蚂蚁在路上's goalkeeper Alonso Suloaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Fatih Özbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Fatih Özbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Suloaga having to interfere. Alonso Suloaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonso Suloaga was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 蚂蚁在路上's 叶铮广 was substituted for 尤默烽. Peru were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after 蚂蚁在路上's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 倪振杰's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
