Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Pedrão Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrit Hooiveld got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kelmond S.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Oosterveld in the 25th minute. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Gerrit Hooiveld got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 28th minute, Martien Sandstra made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Pedrão Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerrit Hooiveld to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gerrit Hooiveld sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Kelmond S.C.'s Gerrit Hooiveld got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrão Sarmento acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Patricio Costa. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martien Sandstra in the 60th minute of play. Carlo van Dijk struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kelmond S.C.. Kelmond S.C.'s Pedrão Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Kelmond S.C. from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kelmond S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Oskar Byström didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Martien Sandstra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. If Martien Sandstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martien Sandstra in the 83rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kelmond S.C.'s Kevin Oosterveld got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mo Yang Chao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelmond S.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
