Daniël Isla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Bladi in the 16th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when George Lucas sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute of the match Santino Seco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniël Isla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Esteve Lando sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 30 minutes, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mastache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If George Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, George Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Daniël Isla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Axel Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniël Isla. The goal made the score 1-1. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 63rd minute. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Daniël Isla managed to reach the ball for a save. 66 minutes into the match, George Lucas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. After 70 minutes of play, αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Don Cañon made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute George Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes, αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's David Antunes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ reached it. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
