The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One's 曲然博. But to his dismay, 曲然博 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. 陆杰默 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute. 陆杰默 came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 陆杰默 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 陆杰默 could save by the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Joshua Secada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 陆杰默 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 陆杰默 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 李城潮 made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 陆杰默 saved ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One from getting behind. 陆杰默 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 陆杰默 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 74th minute of play forced ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One's goalkeeper 陆杰默 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One made a substitution. 徐振宇 replaced 宋平国. In the 79th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 陆杰默 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 曲然博 struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One. In the 91stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One's 陆杰默 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Venezuela fans cheered their team off the field, for while ☆冰谷☆☆绿茵☆NO. One had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
