Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan-Åke Hallgren kicked off to start the match. Bennis's Marcus Vase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 4th minute. Florian Siembab kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 minutes, Eddie Hultman made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Bennis got a freekick which was hit by Benny Svensk. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. If Eddie Hultman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Hultman. Marcus Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Vase made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 56 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cristian Sancho. After a rather tough play, Bennis's Florian Siembab got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Hallgren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcus Vase having to interfere. Bennis's Eddie Hultman got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Vase made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 76th minute, Eddie Hultman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Vase narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Vase read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Eddie Hultman struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bennis.
