Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. The supporters of DZINTARS booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Bergmann having to interfere. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Bryant Solis managed to get in a good position for a shot. DZINTARS's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryant Solis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Ģirts Ozols left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DZINTARS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Bryant Solis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ģirts Ozols. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bryant Solis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryant Solis in the 52nd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryant Solis in the 55th minute of play. Valts Nebars hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A collision led to DZINTARS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Valts Nebars hit a great ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryant Solis went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Bryant Solis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryant Solis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 70th minute Bryant Solis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ģirts Ozols in the 78th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pål Bergmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pål Bergmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Bryant Solis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ģirts Ozols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryant Solis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pål Bergmann was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DZINTARS.
