Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Woopbongo's Ola Håkansson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Wallgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ola Håkansson in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Håkansson in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Ola Håkansson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Wallgren having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Woopbongo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Wallgren came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valter Wallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Woopbongo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Wallgren came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Ola Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Håkansson in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ola Håkansson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Woopbongo's goalkeeper Valter Wallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Håkansson in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Woopbongo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Valter Wallgren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Woopbongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Gerdberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Woopbongo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. André Törnqvist hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Daniel Zorita hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 58th minute, Peder Sundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mecnun Mengüalp kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ola Håkansson's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Woopbongo from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 83 played minutes Woopbongo got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Billberg. Edgar Albohm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valter Wallgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Woopbongo could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
