Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bryant Solis got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, DZINTARS's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Pål Bergmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saulvedis Salaszemnieks during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saulvedis Salaszemnieks hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pål Bergmann in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Bryant Solis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ģirts Ozols got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute DZINTARS were awarded a corner. Egons Ozollapa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led DZINTARS's Valts Nebars to a score. 1-0 in the 33rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. When Daniel Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Daniel Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kārlis Dzintars, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. DZINTARS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pål Bergmann in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann. Pål Bergmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryant Solis in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryant Solis in the 80th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Bergmann made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes DZINTARS got a freekick which was hit by Ansis Barovskis. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Pål Bergmann made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Ansis Barovskis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pål Bergmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
