An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play forced Hawk Tuah FC's goalkeeper Holer Nolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Holer Nolan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Mexico booed when Hawk Tuah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Ahlquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hawk Tuah FC's Holer Nolan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Hawk Tuah FC from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Gulliksson in the 65th minute of play. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to fire away a dangerous shot which Holer Nolan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holer Nolan having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
