Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Johnathan Bowden kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Abid Bubalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christof Deroek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. In the 13th minute, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Sebastian Quin's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Quin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute of the match Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christof Deroek skillfully saved the ball. In the 26th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Milagros Fraga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 28th minute, Vlad Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 34th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Erik Van Buyten in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Thanks to some nice moves Johnathan Bowden could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. After 38 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vlad Tudose who took care of the corner kick. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Peru's Moises Gayoso got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 56th minute of play. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abid Bubalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With an all-out effort, Peru's Christof Deroek threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquin Prats, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abid Bubalo in the 77th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. When the referee blew the final whistle, Selebi-Phikwe could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
