The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tristan Nordlet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Bent Streyder reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elmar Lexbo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 10th minute of play forced Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Tristan Nordlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bent Streyder. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bent Streyder got free with Thiago Pliego in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th play minute Bent Streyder came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Thiago Pliego. 2-0. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tristan Nordlet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute of the match, Elmar Lexbo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elmar Lexbo was slow to take the kick. During this time Holmkjar Hotspurs's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Holmkjar Hotspurs's Elmar Lexbo to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Konrad Reumert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bent Streyder in the 35th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Guillermo Fontirroig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bent Streyder took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bent Streyder in the 61st minute of play. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigfrid Eildorf went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Magnus Steinwart replaced Bent Streyder. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magnus Steinwart in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tristan Nordlet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Konrad Reumert in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chile's Felix Garrido. 77 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet. Tristan Nordlet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Tristan Nordlet in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Magnus Steinwart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magnus Steinwart spun around in front of the goal 87 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chile's goal. Tristan Nordlet made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. After 91 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. If Magnus Steinwart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Steinwart in the 95th minute of the match. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
