A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Aleso, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Anıl Şahan scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anton Antonescu made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Aleso in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Aleso came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Wiliam Simão got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiliam Simão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Juan Aleso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Anton Antonescu in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Aleso to strike the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas de Brito. When Juan Aleso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Aleso couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oier Lopez de Toro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. Uruguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Oier Lopez de Toro 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-6. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ made a substitution. Wambasther van Dijk replaced Artur de Andrade. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Onur Kaya was substituted for Jailson Domingues. The crowd rose to their feet as Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Juan Aleso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-7 after 75 minutes of play. In the 79th minute Oier Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Silas de Brito made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 88 minutes Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
