Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Gherase came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Octavia's Mihai Gherase ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Frascuelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Iordanis Anastasiadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Octavia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihai Gherase in the 38th minute of play. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Mihai Gherase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Alberto Abancens hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihai Gherase stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Octavia booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Octavia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nesor Abadie in the 70th minute. The corner led Octavia's Nesor Abadie to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Mihai Gherase got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nesor Abadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Nesor Abadie came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Octavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nesor Abadie couldn't finish the play. If Iordanis Anastasiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Octavia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alberto Abancens hit a great ball. Oscar Frascuelo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Octavia.
