In the 5th match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Perez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ZigZag Athletic getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jonas Falck hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Ulf Böcklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durvalino Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Aleberg in the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Ulf Böcklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZigZag Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulf Böcklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durvalino Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Aleberg in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Aleberg in the 16th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Durvalino Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's Ulf Böcklund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durvalino Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Böcklund in the 23rd minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Durvalino Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Algot Påk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Sampaio in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jonas Falck came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the ZigZag Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Falck couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes of play, ZigZag Athletic's Miroslav Klose made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durvalino Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durvalino Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommy Aleberg's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes ZigZag Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Sivert Hellsing. In the 38th minute Vânderson Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Påk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes, Tarcisio De Paul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RWD Molenbeek and the ZigZag Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio De Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durvalino Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Aleberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when ZigZag Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Cássio Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RWD Molenbeek's Durvalino Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Böcklund in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, ZigZag Athletic's Miroslav Klose ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Durvalino Branco. Durvalino Branco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Hans Odén charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Odén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Durvalino Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Aleberg in the 68th minute. With 70 minutes on the clock, Edmundo Pires commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 69 minutes into the game, one of RWD Molenbeek:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Durvalino Branco, was totally fooled by ZigZag Athletic's Tommy Aleberg, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 73 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Petersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZigZag Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RWD Molenbeek the free kick. A collision led to ZigZag Athletic getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Vilhelm Petersson hit a great ball. In the 77th minute of the match, Tommy Aleberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Durvalino Branco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Durvalino Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Jonas Falck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Durvalino Branco. RWD Molenbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Falck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Ulf Böcklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Prata to maneuver through the defense. Vânderson Santana's late challenge caught a ZigZag Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vânderson Santana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Santana to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Tommy Aleberg lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Durvalino Branco. ZigZag Athletic's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
