Hugo Mejia came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bodil United's Ingvar Hökqvist. But to his dismay, Ingvar Hökqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Hugo Mejia was a little too slow when Ulf Lång got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ulf Lång's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Mejia firmly grabbed it by the left post. Conny Gullesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víctor Urioste, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. C.A. GUAYACO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Krister Billberg scored to the left of an out of position Hugo Mejia, making the score, 4-0. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Skoglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C.A. GUAYACO getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ortiz Zumarraga hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Hugo Mejia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krister Billberg. Hugo Mejia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Billberg in the 39th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Yader Aramberri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yader Aramberri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Hökqvist in the 44th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Hugo Mejia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vela Garros to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Billberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes, Ulf Holm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bodil United and the C.A. GUAYACO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 58 minutes, Vela Garros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vela Garros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Lång came free, but Hugo Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Vela Garros managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Vela Garros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Gullesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th match minute, FC Bodil United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Asplund to maneuver through the defense. Conny Gullesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vela Garros in the 74th minute. 81 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Lång came free, but Hugo Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Billberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Ulf Lång shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bodil United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
