Miguel de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vela Garros in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Xicu Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Miguel de Toledo. RWD Molenbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 16th minute, Víctor Urioste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Malet in the 28th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Miguel de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gugu de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu de Amaral couldn't finish the play. C.A. GUAYACO's Hugo Mejia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Simão in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute Vela Garros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xicu Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Vela Garros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Miguel de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xicu Fonseca went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gugu de Amaral made a kick off. Víctor Urioste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Miguel de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Gugu de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel de Toledo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. 61 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Simão came free, but Hugo Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vela Garros went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, RWD Molenbeek's Vânderson Santana got a free kick in the 67th minute. Edmundo Pires was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 73rd minute, Edmundo Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vela Garros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Miguel de Toledo made a huge save. Xacintu Monterrey hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, RWD Molenbeek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Víctor Urioste fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 89th minute, Fabinho Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RWD Molenbeek's Fabinho Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
