The Berisso Dortmund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Bitxintxo should have stopped the shot. Santiago Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Hökqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Fredrik Skoglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
In the 53rd minute FC Bodil United were awarded a corner. Ulf Lång went to the cornerflag to take it. Enrique Ereinotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute, Krister Billberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santiago Bitxintxo. The goal made the score 1-4. Conny Gullesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Bodil United were furious when Sture Hermansson was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match was over FC Bodil United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Berisso Dortmund throughout the match.
