With a little luck, GreenSkar FC's Bengt-Rune Alebom got control of the ball when Diego Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Bengt-Rune Alebom successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by GreenSkar FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdo Fernandez was slow to take the kick. During this time RWD Molenbeek's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Tomé Nogueira heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pär Eriksson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Munhoz. Cacá Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. GreenSkar FC's Bengt-Rune Alebom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save GreenSkar FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to GreenSkar FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Mark Helberg hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Pär Eriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GreenSkar FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Pär Eriksson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the GreenSkar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pär Eriksson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of GreenSkar FC booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, RWD Molenbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Ek came free, but Cacá Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Perez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Furlan in the 34th minute of play forced GreenSkar FC's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Alebom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as RWD Molenbeek's Diego Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bengt-Rune Alebom. That made the score 1-2 after 42 minutes of play. After the first half GreenSkar FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pär Eriksson to make the kick off. Cacá Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pär Eriksson in the 55th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes RWD Molenbeek got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Sarmento. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Reine Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. GreenSkar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reine Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mark Helberg hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. RWD Molenbeek's Cacá Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pär Eriksson in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pär Eriksson in the 76th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Cacá Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Karl-Johan Bokelund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cacá Munhoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, GreenSkar FC's Fredric Bennet got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Edmundo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RWD Molenbeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Edmundo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bengt-Rune Alebom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengt-Rune Alebom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. GreenSkar FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over RWD Molenbeek's much stronger midfield.
