After taking down the ball on El Retorno de Palermo's corner Vicente Bakar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brice Leach quite easily take care of the ball. 23 minutes in the game, Ellsworth Lindsay fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pascual Porfirio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Coffman in the 23rd minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Pascual Porfirio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Randell McCullough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lee Coffman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Pascual Porfirio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Lee Coffman could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Pascual Porfirio however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Lee Coffman put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pascual Porfirio. Lee Coffman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Pascual Porfirio made a huge save. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Ofelio in the 37th minute of play. Varennes's Ellsworth Lindsay got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Danilo Milian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute, Randell McCullough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ellsworth Lindsay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ellsworth Lindsay struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Pascual Porfirio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varennes. If Randell McCullough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Brice Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gale Laliberté in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Leandro Ofelio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 84th minute Ellsworth Lindsay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Adolphe Murdock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Coffman came free, but Pascual Porfirio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Retorno de Palermo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salvador Braswell was slow to take the kick. During this time Varennes's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Varennes's corner Salvador Braswell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pascual Porfirio quite easily take care of the ball. In the 97th match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Milian to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Varennes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
