Michal Arendarskis short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Brice Leach to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After taking down the ball on Abandon All Hope's corner Jiang Sang Qing fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brice Leach quite easily take care of the ball. Randell McCullough might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meng Yan Jing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Randell McCullough ran back to his position shaking his head. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ellsworth Lindsay in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michal Arendarski in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brice Leach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randell McCullough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. In the 26th minute Brenton Carrasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brenton Carrasco in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Luc McGhee got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jiang Sang Qing struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Brice Leach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abandon All Hope. The supporters of Abandon All Hope booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandy Hendrix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Arendarski in the 38th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Brice Leach successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Varennes's Adolphe Murdock was substituted for Brad Elliott. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ellsworth Lindsay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ellsworth Lindsay got free with Meng Yan Jing in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gale Laliberté. In the 62nd match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luc McGhee to maneuver through the defense. When Randell McCullough fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varennes's protests and gave Randell McCullough a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Abandon All Hope booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randell McCullough didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes of play Varennes's Randell McCullough was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th minute, Randell McCullough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michal Arendarski in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brice Leach saved Varennes from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Abandon All Hope's Artur Marajda got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Salvador Braswell fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varennes's protests and gave Salvador Braswell a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Braswell. 97 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Arendarski came free, but Brice Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Abandon All Hope fans cheered their team off the field, for while Varennes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
