In the 16th minute, Ziemowit Gdowski made a precise shot to the right of Brice Leach. Varennes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Bedirhan Türk's late challenge caught a Viseu United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bedirhan Türk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedirhan Türk to maneuver through the defense. Ziemowit Gdowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Brice Leach made a huge save. Brice Leach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Gdowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ziemowit Gdowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Iurie Oargă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The excitement rose when Varennes's Brenton Carrasco after 31 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Viseu United's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-1. Brice Leach was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ziemowit Gdowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 38 minute of play. Brice Leach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Gdowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ahmet Ali Tayfur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brice Leach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Gdowski in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ziemowit Gdowski was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Brice Leach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brice Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziemowit Gdowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes Varennes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hamílton Linhares who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Viseu United's corner Teobald Jekot fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brice Leach quite easily take care of the ball. The throw-in from Oliver Shirley in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Viseu United's Teobald Jekot. 60 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Gdowski came free, but Brice Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Shirley made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Viseu United's Ulises Giménez. Ziemowit Gdowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Viseu United's Adrian Txindoki got control of the ball when Ellsworth Lindsay tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Viseu United's Ziemowit Gdowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Leach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Oliver Shirley in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Viseu United's Valter Bentes. Brice Leach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziemowit Gdowski in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ellsworth Lindsay to maneuver through the defense. Brice Leach came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Viseu United's Ziemowit Gdowski. But to his dismay, Ziemowit Gdowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Ziemowit Gdowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Brice Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Shu Gang came free, but Brice Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brice Leach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Shu Gang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lei Shu Gang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brice Leach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Teobald Jekot came free, but Brice Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Viseu United booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Shirley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Lei Shu Gang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brice Leach. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brice Leach should have stopped the shot.
