Sebastião Monsanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Poveda in the 2nd minute of the match. Caetano Curado hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Jonathan Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute André Luiz Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Monsanto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Gabriel Poveda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Angrense the free kick. In the 14th minute, Gabriel Poveda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Cavaco got free with Marcos Catarinense in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastião Monsanto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Aristides Cavaco struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Marcos Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Angrense. Sebastião Monsanto came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Gabriel Poveda. But to his dismay, Gabriel Poveda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Angrense's goalkeeper Sebastião Monsanto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastião Monsanto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Poveda in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Monsanto saved SC Angrense from getting behind. Mateus Vilela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Jonathan Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In a very dangerous position, a player in AVAÍ F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Marcos Catarinense had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Caetano Curado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 45th match minute, SC Angrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Vilela to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Curado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SC Angrense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AVAÍ F.C. were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Cavaco made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Gabriel Poveda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Monsanto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Vilela in the 56th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute Emanuel Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Catarinense. AVAÍ F.C.'s Oswaldo Recife was substituted for Nelsinho Catarinense. In the 67th minute, Nelsinho Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Curado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Catarinense. AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When SC Angrense's Emanuel Pereira in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 80th minute, Augusto Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AVAÍ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 83 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goalkeeper Sebastião Monsanto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Poveda. Emanuel Pereira's late challenge caught a AVAÍ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes SC Angrense got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Pereira. 92 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Alves came free, but Sebastião Monsanto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Angrense's Sebastião Monsanto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Angrense from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goalkeeper Sebastião Monsanto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Pinheiro.
