After 18 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Mota. Ulysses Valle's late challenge caught a AVAÍ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses Valle helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Ulysses Valle got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliverios Marcilla got free with Marcos Catarinense in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
