After having played for 7 minutes, Haroldo Corderun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Corderun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Pastor Bartuelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nordsjælland the free kick. Pastor Bartuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Jeppe Tverskov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Sugar skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Matador booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Nygren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Sæmer having to interfere. Emilio Sugar came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nordsjælland's Sindre Walle. But to his dismay, Sindre Walle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Benjamin Nygren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Sugar. Matador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Nygren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nordsjælland from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Bartuelo in the 40th minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Martxot struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Henning Sæmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matador. After 44 minutes, Kirstein Luvard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nordsjælland and the Matador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Haroldo Corderun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Sæmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Emilio Sugar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Dybhøj during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, FC Nordsjælland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Dybhøj to maneuver through the defense. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Bartuelo in the 63rd minute of play. Matador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardino Truylos in the 64th minute. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Corderun in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sindre Walle got free with Emilio Sugar in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th match minute, FC Nordsjælland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Dybhøj to maneuver through the defense. Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Corderun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 93 minutes on the clock, Ciriaco Richie commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Schjelderup got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Emilio Sugar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Nordsjælland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
