Öllsjö FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave garbatella the free kick. In the 4th minute of the match Ferdinando Di Giulio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Netto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Massa in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessio Di Paolo saved garbatella from getting behind. If Adriano Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessio Di Paolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute of the match Öllsjö FC got a corner. garbatella's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Åke Håkansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bianco Cauli hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Adriano Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Adriano Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Di Paolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessio Di Paolo was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Adriano Massa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Massa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, garbatella's Alberigo Della Torre got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 40th minute of the match, Adriano Massa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alessio Di Paolo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Massa in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessio Di Paolo saved garbatella from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Adriano Massa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessio Di Paolo was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Marian Michna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Di Paolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Öllsjö FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl-Åke Håkansson in the 53rd minute. garbatella's Alessio Di Paolo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Massa in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Massa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessio Di Paolo saved garbatella from getting behind. 60 minutes into the game, Adriano Massa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alessio Di Paolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano Massa took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessio Di Paolo. Alessio Di Paolo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alessio Di Paolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Alessio Di Paolo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Massa's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After 76 played minutes garbatella got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Vespucci. Öllsjö FC's Per Billström was substituted for Jan-Ove Jernberg. 79 minutes into the match, Öllsjö FC's Adriano Massa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessio Di Paolo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 played minutes garbatella got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Cauli. Alessio Di Paolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Massa went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Alessio Di Paolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Massa in the 86th minute of play. Adriano Massa struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alessio Di Paolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Öllsjö FC. After having played for 93 minutes, Adriano Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Öllsjö FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marian Michna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alessio Di Paolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Öllsjö FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
