If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vladimiro Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sálvio Ribeiro in the 23rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ADCR Loreto United FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rubim Freitas hit a great ball. If Alfredo Curado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladimiro Matai, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 64th minute Alfredo Curado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save ADCR Loreto United FC from getting a goal against them. After 71 minutes ADCR Loreto United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Matai having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, ADCR Loreto United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Maia to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Sálvio Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ADCR Loreto United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 95 minutes of play, ADCR Loreto United FC's Alfredo Curado made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
