In the 10thth minute of the game Koby Wright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terceirense F.C.'s Máximo Laureano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gentil Setúbal in the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Richard Mccarthy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máximo Laureano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Terceirense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerem Aktürkoglu to maneuver through the defense. Gentil Setúbal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Máximo Laureano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carter George went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Taylor Hawkins hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Koby Wright was the one to do the kick off. If Gentil Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Canada's Filip Edwards was substituted for Koby Wright. In the 58th minute of the game Richard Mccarthy made a throw-in which Carter George played forward. 59 minutes into the match, Rohan Watson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Máximo Laureano. Terceirense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rohan Watson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Canada's Theo Burton was substituted for Rohan Watson. In the 93rd minute, Donovan Daval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 minutes of play, Terceirense F.C.'s Donovan Daval made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jax Williamson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Canada's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
