When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Klement Harasimowicz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. In the 17th minute of the match MANCHESTER UNITED got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaj Felin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vahit Yiğitoğlu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Lalchev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Anton Lalchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced MANCHESTER UNITED's goalkeeper Anton Lalchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denko Gervazov in the 24th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 29 in the game by Klement Harasimowicz from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when MANCHESTER UNITED's Klement Harasimowicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Lalchev. Anton Lalchev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 44 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kaj Felin who took care of the corner kick. Kaj Felin made a great header on MANCHESTER UNITED's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 46 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Lalchev. MANCHESTER UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klement Harasimowicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denko Gervazov in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klement Harasimowicz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MANCHESTER UNITED's Anton Lalchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Klement Harasimowicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klement Harasimowicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Harasimowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Anton Lalchev made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Anton Lalchev in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MANCHESTER UNITED's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Anton Lalchev, making the score, 2-3. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anton Lalchev came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 77th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Lalchev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Kaj Felin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Anton Lalchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The audience cheered when Kaj Felin's long shot passed Julio Vera's right side. It was 3-4, 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to MANCHESTER UNITED getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Klement Harasimowicz hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. The MANCHESTER UNITED fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
