Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 20th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ye Hong sent off a good shot on target. When Michal Arendarski came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Abandon All Hope fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Arendarski couldn't finish the play. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Abandon All Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Meng Yan Jing despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Ye Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meng Yan Jing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Meng Yan Jing. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When Ye Hong fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abandon All Hope's protests and gave Ye Hong a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Abandon All Hope got a freekick which was hit by Ye Hong. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Abandon All Hope from getting a goal against them. Michal Arendarski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Meng Yan Jing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Andino in the 94th minute. The Abandon All Hope fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
