De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koby Wright in the 14th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Canada's Mike Zoetmulder threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Koby Wright, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Huub Gerrits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Luka Harris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koby Wright received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mike Zoetmulder came out and tried to block the shot, but Koby Wright slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Koby Wright notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perivaldo Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. Perivaldo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jax Williamson made a huge save. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rohan Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Perivaldo Eger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jax Williamson. The goal made the score 6-1. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 90th minute of the match. Canada walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
