Christian Abbiati made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. KANONIERZY's Christian Abbiati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Christian Abbiati in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Hamza Hanefi in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by USA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ime Mavros was slow to take the kick. During this time KANONIERZY's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ime Mavros almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. Kürşat Başok kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. KANONIERZY's Christian Abbiati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Cassius Byrne recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Abbiati. Cassius Byrne showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. KANONIERZY's Christian Abbiati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 36th minute of play. Ali Hamza Hanefi took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Gösta Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Ali Hamza Hanefi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Christian Abbiati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Christian Abbiati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Gösta Söderberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Day. The goal made the score 1-3. Kürşat Başok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 61st minute of play forced KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zach Harrison made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that KANONIERZY's Christian Abbiati managed to reach the ball for a save. 71 minutes into the game, Monty Rogers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Christian Abbiati was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Sobania. KANONIERZY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jenson Smith ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to USA's Khalid Parry getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Christian Abbiati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Baker in the 84th minute of the match. When Gösta Söderberg came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the KANONIERZY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gösta Söderberg couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Marco Baker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Abbiati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Baker in the 89th minute of play forced KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Marco Baker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Christian Abbiati was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Khalid Parry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
