Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kent Kyrk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Evert Apelkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Evert Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Termander in the 26th minute of play. The Hårdmen Slak fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Hårdmen Slak's Bengt Termander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
