With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Víctor Valdés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víctor Valdés saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga's late challenge caught a Calaflores FC.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Fraga helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, Calaflores FC.'s Víctor Valdés got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
